Esther Carenza – A Champion in the Township of Georgina
Esther Carenza, Chairperson, of the Children’s Holiday Get Together and Other Events took her event to another level with “The Amazing Summer Blitz” on July 20, 2024. She moves mountains. Esther is a successful woman who works hard in everything she does. Aside from her legal career, Esther is an advocate for justice. In the pandemic, Esther did not shy down from serving children and those with special needs. Esther is dedicated, resilient, and does not falter, including during the COVID period. She is relentless when it comes to underserved children and those with special and has warmth and love for children. There is so much at stake in this moment. Esther believes in creating a brighter future for the children where no child should grow up in poverty. She wants to see the underserved children and those with special needs have a brighter future and be able to move their future forward. A bright light came into the Township of Georgina – Esther Carenza- and she has moves across the nation.

A high level of volunteerism not only started with Esther Carenza, but with her volunteers. Alessia drew the crowd with her caricature portraits created for children. Sky, painted the way through “The Amazing Summer Blitz” with her extravagant face painting. Kat delighted the children with her slime experiment. The “in look” of haircuts was created by Ralph, pleasing people. The musicians played brilliantly with the leader, Blair Krueger. Previously, Blair played with Gordon Lightfoot whose music is etched into the musical Canadian landscape along with other big names. Sponsors in the Town came out and showed their flare. Georgian Fire displayed professionalism and loyalty to the people of the Town and others with their enthusiasm, love for community and tips on fire prevention. After “The Amazing Summer Blitz,” the Children’s Holiday Get Together and Other Events donated further to Sandgate Women’s Shelter.
Esther Carenza always outdoes herself and is truly a champion.
