The Canadian government’s top science advisor provides an update on official UFO study
Mona Neme, the top scientific advisor of the Canadian government, said to the lawmakers in Ottawa this week that her office would release a public UFO report by early fall. Highlighting the importance of making UFO information available to Canadians, she said that an improvement is required in collecting, reporting and disseminating UFO-related data to make these available for the researchers and people of Canada who need these.
She thinks that national data security is highly important for a country. However, making information public is more important to mitigate conspiracy theories and disinformation and make information easily accessible for the public and researchers.
Nemer, the chief science advisor of Canada, supervises an independent office that prepares UFO reports and directly reports to the Prime Minister of Canada and the Ministry of Innovation, science, and Industry. Last Tuesday, Nemer said that her office would be releasing the report by early fall (at the end of summer). According to her, the report is going to be interesting and quite fascinating on the historical front.
The Sky Canada Project, known as the first official Canadian UFO study in nearly three decades, communicated with counterparts in the U.S. and France. The office’s Sky Canada Project has been collecting data and gathering all important information from various departments in Canada and government agencies like the National Defense, the Canadian Space Agency, Transport Canada, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.
The excitement, reports or responses coming from those departments and agencies are not smooth and regular. According to her, information and data coming on behalf of those departments and agencies are more complete, complicated or cryptic than her office requires. This is why she will be communicating directly with the deputy ministers to crosscheck and ensure that her office has received the correct and required information.
