Raina Sen, an Entrepreneur Living Her dreams

Rhythm & Hearts, hosted by RJ Raina Sen on CMR 101.3, serenades listeners with soulful melodies every evening from 9:30 pm to 11:00 pm (Canada time).

Raina Sen took over the reins of Phoenix Web, an established offset printing company, in February 2021. She always had an inherent desire to do something of her own, and although printing was a relatively alien field for her, she was destined to take over this company.

There were several challenges on her path. For starters, this was a full-fledged industry with state-of-the-art machinery, a solid client base who worked on tight deadlines, and over 15 experienced staff who were not very welcoming as they considered her an outsider. But Raina was determined to walk the uncharted territory with all the passion and dedication that she had at her disposal. She managed to learn the intricacies of the trade, sort out labour issues, and assured all her clients that although the business had changed hands, the company’s commitment towards the client would be paramount.

It was the peak of the pandemic when she took over the business, but she ensured there was no lull in the operations and worked tirelessly to redeem the trust of clients. Along the process she wore many hats, from being a CEO to managing HR, negotiating with the suppliers, looking after operations, helping the production team to complete orders on time, bring in new clients, and even fulfilling deliveries at odd hours in biting cold weather conditions.

The journey has been filled with uncertainties, but Raina, with her unfaltering zeal to succeed, coupled with the strong support of her family, has triumphed over all odds. Today she, along with her business, is in a much more secure position than when she started off.

She has efficiently steered Phoenix Web to a position where it has the potential to reach enviable heights. The future looks promising, and she has chalked out a roadmap for the business which will take it to the next level.

Rhythm & Hearts is the brainchild of Raina and Shan, intended as a way of expressing their gratitude for all the love and support they have received from their customers, friends and well-wishers. Being artists, they would of course like to celebrate their success musically. Rhythm & Hearts is also a Valentine’s Day special event, an evening of love and music entwined beautifully to serenade the audience.
